Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident workers in Tasmania in 2021shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (50,865 people or 20.0%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (35,429 people or 13.9%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (34,635 people or 13.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 120,929 people in total or 47.5% of the resident workers (All industries).
