Output by industry is a gross measure of the total sales of each industry sector in the City of Subiaco. It does not measure how productive each industry sector is at producing this output - which is measured by value added.

An analysis of the output by industry sectors in the City of Subiaco in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($1,170 million or 17.5%)
- Mining ($1,040 million or 15.5%)
- Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services ($874 million or 13.1%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $3,085 million in total or 46.1% of the total output by total industry in the the City of Subiaco.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 4.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 32.6% in Mining and 3.1% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services.
