Dominant groups

An analysis of the valued added by industry sectors in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (188 million or 18.8%)
  • Construction (103 million or 10.3%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (86 million or 8.6%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 377 million in total or 37.8% of the total value added by industry in the the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 2.8% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 5.5% in Construction and 1.4% in Accommodation and Food Services.
