An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Fremantle in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($850 million or 29.7%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($459 million or 16.0%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($286 million or 10.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,594 million in total or 55.7% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Fremantle.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 26.7% in Manufacturing; 6.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 9.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the City of Fremantle and Western Australia were:
