Output by industry is a gross measure of the total sales of each industry sector in the City of Fremantle. It does not measure how productive each industry sector is at producing this output - which is measured by value added.

- Manufacturing ($1,138 million or 12.9%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($884 million or 10.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $3,809 million in total or 43.2% of the total output by total industry in the the City of Fremantle.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 4.5% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 10.0% in Manufacturing and 4.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
