Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in RDA Tropical North in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($4,083million or 16.2%)
- Mining ($3,172million or 12.6%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($2,106million or 8.4%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $9,361 million in total or 37.2% of the total local sales by total industry in the RDA Tropical North.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 20.2% in Construction; 5.1% in Mining and 7.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
