An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Cook Shire in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:
- Mining (329 million or 61.7%)
- Manufacturing (52 million or 9.8%)
- Public Administration and Safety (28 million or 5.2%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 409 million in total or 76.7% of the total exports by industry in the Cook Shire.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 31.9% in Mining; 16.2% in Manufacturing and 4.7% in Public Administration and Safety.
