Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Shire of Murray in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Mining ($3,385 million or 54.9%)
- Manufacturing ($741 million or 12.0%)
- Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services ($379 million or 6.1%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $4,504 million in total or 73.1% of the total imports by industry in the Shire of Murray.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 25.9% in Mining; 26.0% in Manufacturing and 3.6% in Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of Shire of Murray and Western Australia were:
