Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Murweh Shire in 2016/17 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($79 million or 38.4%)
  • Manufacturing ($45 million or 21.7%)
  • Wholesale Trade ($17 million or 8.1%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $140 million in total or 68.1% of the total exports by total industry in the Murweh Shire.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 6.5% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 17.4% in Manufacturing; and 3.8% in Wholesale Trade.

The major differences between total exports by industries in the Murweh Shire and Queensland were:
