Murweh Shire is located in south-west Queensland. The Shire encompasses a total land area of nearly 41,000 square kilometres. Murweh Shire is a predominantly rural area, with a small township at Charleville and smaller townships at Augathella and Morven. Rural land is used largely for agriculture.
