An analysis of the jobs held by the All industries workforce in the City of Perth in 2021shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (71,812 local workers or 42.2%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (31,457 local workers or 18.5%)
- Managers (25,957 local workers or 15.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 129,226 people in total or 75.9% of the All industries local workers.
In comparison, Western Australia employed 21.9% as Professionals; 12.0% as Clerical and Administrative Workers and 12.2% as Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the workforce in the City of Perth and Western Australia were:
