Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Snowy Monaro Regional Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Accommodation and Food Services (331 million or 23.7%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (302 million or 21.6%)
- Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services (240 million or 17.1%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 873 million in total or 62.4% of the total exports by industry in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 2.4% in Accommodation and Food Services; 4.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 2.3% in Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services.
The major differences between the total exports by industries of Snowy Monaro Regional Council area and NSW were:
