Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Snowy Monaro Regional Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (274 million or 29.0%)
- Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services (208 million or 22.0%)
- Accommodation and Food Services (132 million or 14.0%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 615 million in total or 65.0% of the total exports by industry in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 4.9% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 2.6% in Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services and 1.7% in Accommodation and Food Services.
The major differences between the total exports by industries of Snowy Monaro Regional Council area and NSW were:
