Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in Snowy Monaro Regional Council area in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($718million or 32.9%)
- Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services ($204million or 9.4%)
- Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services ($144million or 6.6%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $1,066 million in total or 48.8% of the total local sales by total industry in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in NSW accounted for 21.4% in Construction; 2.9% in Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services and 9.1% in Rental, Hiring and Real Estate Services.
