Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Town of Cambridge in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($660 million or 33.1%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing ($218 million or 10.9%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($137 million or 6.9%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $1,015 million in total or 50.9% of the total imports by industry in the the Town of Cambridge.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in Western Australia accounted for 26.7% in Manufacturing; 6.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing and 9.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between total imports by industries of the Town of Cambridge and Western Australia were:

  • A smaller percentage of total imports by Mining (2.0% compared to 17.9%)
