Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Ku-ring-gai Council area in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($2,269 million or 28.8%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($709 million or 9.0%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($669 million or 8.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $3,647 million in total or 46.4% of the total imports by industry in the Ku-ring-gai Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 31.7% in Manufacturing; 5.6% in Public Administration and Safety and 8.2% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of Ku-ring-gai Council area and New South Wales were:
