Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the Nambucca Valley in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($368million or 34.0%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($136million or 12.6%)
- Accommodation and Food Services ($57million or 5.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $561 million in total or 51.9% of the total local sales by total industry in the the Nambucca Valley.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 21.4% in Construction; 6.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 3.5% in Accommodation and Food Services.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the Nambucca Valley and New South Wales were:
- A larger percentage of local sales by Construction (34.0% compared to 21.4%)
- A larger percentage of local sales by Health Care and Social Assistance (12.6% compared to 6.6%)
