Dominant groups

Analysis of the jobs held by the resident workforce in the RDA Eyre Peninsula Region in 2021shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,537 people or 14.1%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (3,225 people or 12.8%)
  • Retail Trade (2,477 people or 9.9%)

In combination these three industries employed 9,239 people in total or 36.8% of the total resident workforce.

In comparison, South Australia employed 16.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 3.8% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 9.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the resident workforce of the RDA Eyre Peninsula Region and South Australia were:
