Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the RDA Eyre Peninsula Region in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($1,371million or 33.1%)
- Mining ($416million or 10.0%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($352million or 8.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,139 million in total or 51.6% of the total local sales by total industry in the the RDA Eyre Peninsula Region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 24.2% in Construction; 6.1% in Mining and 7.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the RDA Eyre Peninsula Region and South Australia were:
- A larger percentage of local sales by Construction (33.1% compared to 24.2%)
- A larger percentage of local sales by Mining (10.0% compared to 6.1%)
- A smaller percentage of local sales by Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (2.8% compared to 6.5%)
