Dominant groups
An analysis of the local sales by industry sectors in the RDA Murraylands and Riverland region in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Construction ($2,175million or 40.3%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing ($505million or 9.4%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($407million or 7.5%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $3,087 million in total or 57.2% of the total local sales by total industry in the the RDA Murraylands and Riverland region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 24.2% in Construction; 2.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 7.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between local sales by industries of the RDA Murraylands and Riverland region and South Australia were:
