Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the local workers in Hobart City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (12,557 people or 21.8%)
- Public Administration and Safety (9,009 people or 15.6%)
- Education and Training (6,622 people or 11.5%)
In combination these three fields accounted for 28,188 people in total or 48.9% of the local workers.
In comparison, Tasmania employed 16.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.3% in Public Administration and Safety and 9.5% in Education and Training.
The major differences between the jobs held by local workers of Hobart City and Tasmania were:
