Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Hobart City in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (1,873 million or 23.8%)
- Public Administration and Safety (1,713 million or 21.7%)
- Education and Training (798 million or 10.1%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 4,383 million in total or 55.6% of the total exports by industry in the Hobart City.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Tasmania accounted for 14.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.4% in Public Administration and Safety and 5.1% in Education and Training.
