Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Whittlesea in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($3,092 million or 28.5%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($1,174 million or 10.8%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($952 million or 8.8%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $5,218 million in total or 48.0% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Whittlesea.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 32.0% in Manufacturing; 6.1% in Public Administration and Safety and 8.2% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of the City of Whittlesea and Victoria were:
