An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the City of Melton in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($2,506 million or 30.5%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance ($1,071 million or 13.0%)
- Public Administration and Safety ($891 million or 10.9%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $4,468 million in total or 54.4% of the total imports by industry in the the City of Melton.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Victoria accounted for 33.0% in Manufacturing; 5.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 6.9% in Public Administration and Safety.
