Dominant groups

An analysis of the valued added by industry sectors in RDA Yorke and Mid North Region in 2018/19 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (865 million or 28.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (329 million or 10.9%)
  • Construction (234 million or 7.8%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 1,428 million in total or 47.5% of the total value added by industry in the RDA Yorke and Mid North Region.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 6.3% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 11.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance and 8.5% in Construction.

The major differences between the value added by industries of RDA Yorke and Mid North Region and South Australia were:
