Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Rockhampton Regional Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services (903 million or 21.5%)
  • Mining (678 million or 16.2%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (650 million or 15.5%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 2,231 million in total or 53.2% of the total exports by industry in the Rockhampton Regional Council area.
