Dominant groups
An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in Rockhampton Regional Council area in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($1,353 million or 34.7%)
- Financial and Insurance Services ($603 million or 15.4%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($461 million or 11.8%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $2,417 million in total or 61.9% of the total imports by industry in the Rockhampton Regional Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 34.9% in Manufacturing; 9.7% in Financial and Insurance Services and 7.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between total imports by industries of Rockhampton Regional Council area and Queensland were:
