Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Limestone Coast region in 2021/22 shows the three largest industries were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (1,948 million or 47.4%)
- Manufacturing (1,313 million or 31.9%)
- Retail Trade (177 million or 4.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 3,439 million in total or 83.6% of the total exports by industry in the the Limestone Coast region.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in South Australia accounted for 11.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 19.1% in Manufacturing and 3.5% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the total exports by industries of the Limestone Coast region and South Australia were:
- A larger percentage of total exports by Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (47.4% compared to 11.4%)
- A larger percentage of total exports by Manufacturing (31.9% compared to 19.1%)
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Financial and Insurance Services (0.4% compared to 8.5%)
- A smaller percentage of total exports by Public Administration and Safety (0.4% compared to 7.5%)

The largest changes in the total exports by industries between 2017/18 and 2022/23 in the Limestone Coast region were for:
