Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Clarence Valley Council area in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (216 million or 26.3%)
- Manufacturing (119 million or 14.4%)
- Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services (88 million or 10.7%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 423 million in total or 51.4% of the total exports by industry in the Clarence Valley Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 3.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 16.6% in Manufacturing and 2.9% in Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services.
