Dominant groups
An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Maranoa Regional Council in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:
- Mining (2,964 million or 75.3%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (690 million or 17.5%)
- Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services (90 million or 2.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for 3,743 million in total or 95.2% of the total exports by industry in the Maranoa Regional Council.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in Queensland accounted for 31.9% in Mining; 5.8% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing and 3.0% in Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Services.
