Dominant groups

An analysis of the total imports by industry sectors in the Townsville City Council in 2022/23 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing ($3,263 million or 36.7%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services ($1,094 million or 12.3%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($881 million or 9.9%)

In combination these three industries accounted for $5,239 million in total or 58.9% of the total imports by industry in the the Townsville City Council.
