Analysis of the jobs held by the resident workforce in the Townsville City Council in 2021shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (16,480 people or 17.5%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (11,800 people or 12.6%)
  • Education and Training (8,826 people or 9.4%)
