An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in Northern Beaches Council area in 2017/18 shows the three largest industries were:
- Manufacturing ($1,983 million or 29.3%)
- Wholesale Trade ($1,333 million or 19.7%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services ($901 million or 13.3%)
In combination these three industries accounted for $4,217 million in total or 62.4% of the total exports by total industry in the Northern Beaches Council area.
In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 15.2% in Manufacturing; 6.6% in Wholesale Trade; and 9.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between total exports by industries in the Northern Beaches Council area and New South Wales were:
