Analysis of the jobs held by the resident workforce in the RDA Darling Downs and South West Region in 2021shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (19,967 people or 15.8%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (13,344 people or 10.6%)
  • Education and Training (12,443 people or 9.9%)

In combination these three industries employed 45,754 people in total or 36.3% of the total resident workforce.
