Dominant groups

An analysis of the total exports by industry sectors in the Inner West Council area in 2019/20 shows the three largest industries were:

  • Manufacturing (940 million or 24.7%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (503 million or 13.2%)
  • Wholesale Trade (381 million or 10.0%)

In combination these three industries accounted for 1,823 million in total or 48.0% of the total exports by industry in the the Inner West Council area.

In comparison, the same 3 industries in New South Wales accounted for 16.6% in Manufacturing; 9.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and 6.0% in Wholesale Trade.

The major differences between the total exports by industries of the Inner West Council area and New South Wales were:
